New Pet Registrations
Dogs and cats must be microchipped and registered with Council by three months of age and registrations are renewable every year on 10 April. Once your pet is registered you will be issued with a tag to assist in its safe return should it go missing. Please note we provide lifetime tags and will only replace them if you lose your pet’s original tag or due to wear and tear.
If your animal is less than six months of age and you have not yet had the opportunity of having your pet desexed, you will be charged your first year’s registration fee at the reduced rate. The owner will be required to show proof via a vet certificate in order to obtain the reduced fee in future years.
Register and pay for your animal registration online and you will receive up to three months of free registration. You will not need to renew until 10 April 2017.
