Manningham GalleryManningham Gallery is the City of Manningham's major contemporary arts venue. Its main focus is the contemporary exhibition program which encompasses a broad range of visual arts practice including painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, photography, furniture, installation and multi-media artworks. The Gallery is situated at the front of the Council Offices in Doncaster (12 kms or 15 mins from the CBD via the Eastern freeway, Melway Ref: 33 F12 or 47 F1). There is ample car parking for gallery visitors and building signage marks the location of the gallery. The gallery entrance is prominent upon entering the building and there is wheel chair access. | Manningham Gallery was established as a public gallery in 1985 in the municipal offices by the Doncaster and Templestowe Arts' Association, with strong support from the City of Doncaster and Templestowe. Management of the Gallery was handed over to Manningham City Council in 1997, and in 2001 was relocated to a purpose built space in the new Function Centre at the Manningham City Council Offices. Manningham Gallery is founded on a strong commitment to bringing the arts to the local community, providing a quality space for artists (including local) to exhibit and an opportunity for the community to enjoy and interact with art and artists in a relaxed environment.
