Read-Grow-Share at Ronald Reserve storytime opening
Meet your neighbours and join us for a celebration with storytime, community planting, rock painting, bush crafts and a picnic in the park!
Once upon a time there was a little reserve that was in need of an upgrade. To celebrate the new look and story time area, we are turning the page and starting a new chapter with an opening party at Ronald Reserve!
Bring along a picnic and enjoy the day with rock painting and meet other fellow neighbours.
Share your extra produce or books with the free little library – a sharing communal box designed by local residents and made by the Kiwanis Club of Manningham for all to enjoy.
For those little budding artists, dress up as your favourite story book character and perform on the story time stage chair.
At 3.30pm join the us for a nature flora and fauna themed storytime session at the story time area. Be sure to wear comfortable warm clothing and bring a rug to sit on and keep you warm.
Have a green thumb or want to get back to nature? Roll up your sleeves and lend a hand planting to complete the Ronald Reserve upgrade. Meet our Parks crew and learn about Parks Alive. To make things easier, we will even dig the holes before you arrive!
So join in on the fun and don’t forget to bring your own gardening gloves, picnic, rug, hot thermos and winter warmers!
This is a family friendly event. We welcome all ages and abilities and best of all participation is free.
Do you play a musical instrument, love baking or have a talent to share? Contact us to be part of the community celebration.
Thank you to our local organisations and community members for their time and contributions towards the upgrade. The free little library project was coordinated by a local resident and built by Kiwanis Club of Manningham.
