Activity centres in Manningham are likely to experience pressure for change and increased development as the State Government implements its metropolitan strategic plan: Plan Melbourne.
To manage and plan for this change Council prepares a structure plan to guide future development.
A structure plan is a planning tool that applies to an activity centre and surrounding area and sets out a vision for how the given area should develop over time. It also includes a set of actions to achieve this vision.
A structure plan takes into account all of the issues affecting an area, including its buildings and spaces, land uses, access and transport, and planning policies. An important phase of the structure planning process requires consultation with the local residents, traders and other interested stakeholders.
Below is a list of current structure plans:
- Templestowe Village Structure Plan (6.11 MB)
- Doncaster East Structure Plan (2.11 MB)
