Manningham has a range of home and community based services designed to support older people, people with a disability and their carers to remain living independently in their own home and to maintain their connections in the community. These services are provided by Aged and Disability Support Services (ADSS).
Our mission is to deliver excellent service provided by skilled and professional staff.
How to access services for older people
The pathway for accessing service depends on your age:
- Persons aged over 65 years
For eligible persons aged over 65 years (over 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons), My Aged Care is the national system for aged care services and entry point to access to Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) provided by the Australian Government.
Registration with My Aged Care is necessary to access any services.
My Aged Care Telephone No: 1800 200 422
My Aged Care Website: www.myagedcare.gov.au
Once registration with My Aged Care is completed, an assessment referral will be made for you.
- Persons aged under 65 years
For eligible persons aged under 65 years (under 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons), services may be subsidised by the Victorian Government through the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP). Discuss your specific needs with the Intake Officer, Aged and Disability Support Services on 9840 9700 who can arrange an assessment for you with one of Council's Assessment Care Planners.
