A collaborative exhibition designed by students and tutors of the Manningham Art Studios, Built is a rumination on how our towns, cities and landscapes grow their character over time.
Part diorama, part film scale model, part architectural model, part urban room, the exhibition presents a delightful assortment of houses, roads and railways, trees, hills, rivers and farms, iconic buildings and more. A collision of competing aesthetics as much as a meeting of minds, the exhibition will talk to how a city evolves and changes over time and how it carries the marks of the many people who will tread its streets over the years.
Built will also be a living installation that you're invited to add to. Come along and build your own paper-cut house, office block, stadium or garden and leave your own indelible mark on the character of this fantastic city.
Wednesday 10 July, 6.00pm to 8.00pm
