Renowned adolescent and child psychologist, Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, will launch his new book, Surviving Adolescents 2.0, as part of Manningham’s Parenting Seminar Series on Monday 30 July.

After two sold-out sessions earlier in the year on raising happy and resilient children, Dr Michael Carr-Gregg will return to Manningham to present a free one-hour talk on raising adolescents as part of his book launch.

Manningham Mayor Cr Andrew Conlon said adolescence was one of the most important development periods in our children’s lives.

“Our parenting seminar series help equip parents with skills, knowledge and strategies to raise our children with the love they need and deserve,” he said.

“We are really excited to welcome Dr Michael Carr-Gregg back to Manningham and receive expert advice on raising adolescents.”

Dr Michael Carr-Gregg said he was impressed with Manningham’s dedication to provide support programs and events for families, in particular its Parenting Seminar Series.

“These sessions provide families with current information and research to help raise healthy happy children, strengthening community engagement and connections,” he said.

“Adolescence is one of the most risky growth and developmental periods for our children and parents need to have the skills, knowledge and strategies to provide this generation with the love, stability and routine they need.”

Dr Michael Carr-Gregg will be joined by parenting author, Elly Robinson during the launch for a Q&A session on adolescent issues that confront families, such as technology, social media, risky behaviour, schools and more.

This session is provided free of charge by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg as part of the Surviving Adolescents 2.0 book launch. Copies of the book will be available on the night at $23 a copy.
