In addition to our art courses currently running online, we’re releasing a series of short how-to video demonstrations for primary-school-age children, with the first video now available to view at Manningham Art Studios.

The pre-recorded tutorials will teach two different topics, how to make zines, and the art of cartooning, aimed at children aged 6 to 11 years old. In the first series, kids can learn how to write, draw, copy and bind your own short books (also known as zines), using materials that are easily found at home. Your children can then use this newfound knowledge to write their own stories or comics and make them into zines to trade with their friends at school.

The second short series will teach the art of cartooning with a fun, step-by-step guide for drawing and creating characters and animating them with only minimal lines. Students only need a graphite pencil, eraser and paper. Visit Manningham Art Studios to download the video demonstrations.
