As part of the Manningham Art Gallery exhibition Empty Streets and Stacked Chairs, join Bill McAuley for a discussion on capturing Manningham in lockdown, and to reflect on his 50 year career as a photojournalist.
Over his photojournalism career, McAuley has had the privilege to meet and photograph some of the world's most famous and interesting people from showbusiness, music and politics, including Sir Paul McCartney, Gough Whitlam, Cathy Freeman, Princess Diana, Meryl Streep and Sir David Attenborough. During this talk Bill will share some of his most iconic portraits and recount anecdotes that came out of rubbing shoulders with some of the world's most famous people.
Bookings essential. All visitors to the gallery will be required to register their attendance via QR Code upon arrival and comply with current COVID-19 guidelines, including social distancing and the wearing of face masks when social distancing cannot be practiced.
