While all sporting clubs in Manningham are currently closed, there are plenty of ways for people to still get active whether outdoors or at home via online classes.

Many state and local sporting organisations are running fabulous online programs which you might like to participate in, including options that include kids and cater to people with all abilities.

Our own aquatic and leisure centre, Aquarena, is hosting free live group fitness classes on their Facebook page.

All of the classes will require minimal equipment, are suitable for all fitness levels and provide an opportunity for social connection through health and fitness.

Auskick has launched Auskick at Home, providing online clinics designed to keep kids connected to the game. Current and former AFL and AFLW footballers will join them for the live-streamed clinics and provide tips for backyard drills, exercises and skills-based learning. Ex-St Kilda star Nick Riewoldt, who recently conducted his own football clinic via Instagram, and Melbourne AFLW player Libby Birch will be the first expert guests from their homes.

Access for All Abilities has also listed a range of free events for people with disability on its website, which can be accessed from home via virtual sessions. Access for All Abilities provides first-point-of call service connecting people with a disability to sports and recreational opportunities in Victoria.

Additionally, all of our sports grounds continue to be open for exercise and we have a wide range of walking trails for you to explore in your area. Please remember to follow all current COVID-19 guidelines such as social distancing when you exercise and be courteous to your neighbours. Find out more about our top 5 walking trails or locate a sporting ground near you.
