Together with YMCA Manningham Youth Services, we provide recreational, personal and skill development opportunities for young people who live, work, go to school or hang out in our community.

We provide young people with a voice by encouraging active participation in the planning and implementation of programs and services. Some of our programs include:

  • L2P learner driver mentor program
    This is a free, community-based volunteer program helping young learner drivers under 21 with a current learners permit but without access to a vehicle or supervising driver, to achieve the mandatory 120 driving hours to obtain a probationary licence.
     
  • Manningham Youth Providers Network
    Open to schools and agencies supporting young people in Manningham. For more information, contact wendy.ross@manningham.vic.gov.au
     
  • Homework help
    Offering free internet access, printing and help of professional tutors in preparation for exams. These programs are free and no bookings are required. For more information visit Whitehorse Manningham Libraries or call Doncaster Library on 9877 8500 or Box Hill Library 9896 4300.
     
  • Lead 2 Sustain
    An exciting youth sustainability program aimed at helping and inspiring our youth to reduce their environmental impact and take sustainability action. 
     
  • Manningham Young Leaders
    Offering young people aged 15 to 21 years a ‘voice’ by working on community projects that celebrate the diversity of young people in our community.Our Young Leaders receive leadership training including public speaking, conflict resolution, civic engagement and more.
     
  • Youth mentoring
    Operating within Manningham secondary schools, our mentors provide additional support to young people aged 12 to 18 years.
     
  • Youth support
    Providing ongoing assistance and outreach to young people aged 12 to 25 years. We also offer one-on-one counselling and support.
     
  • Y-Excercise
    Designed to provide opportunities for young people aged 13 to 25 years living with disabilities to access physical exercise sessions and build social skills in a safe and fun environment. These exercise classes take place weekly during the school term at Aquarena.
     
  • EnviroYouth Alliance
    The EnviroYouth Alliance offers young people aged between 15 and 21 years with a passion for sustainability and the environment to get together, learn and work on specific projects on improving our local environment.
     
  • School focused youth service
    A state-wide initiative, this program aims to assist schools and community agencies in developing partnerships to enhance relationships supporting young people at risk. 
     
  • FReeZa Fusion Committee
    Made up of young people aged 15 to 21 years, this committee works with our youth services team to organise and host drug, alcohol and smoke-free music events for young people in Manningham. Training on event management and insights into the music industry are provided. 
     
  • Pixelated
    A safe-gaming program for young people aged 12 to 18 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Offering a safe
