When are the garden waste disposal days?

As we had to postpone the August events due to COVID-19 lockdown we will be holding the garden waste disposal days in both November and December. Each eligible household will be able to make one booking in November and one in December.

The events will be held on:

  • November: Saturday 6, Sunday 7, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 
  • December: Saturday 4, Sunday 5, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12

At the following location:

  • Mullum Mullum Reserve, 1-41 Springvale Road, Donvale

Please note disposal days will not proceed on a Total Fire Ban day or a day of Severe or above Fire Danger Rating.

You will be required to show proof of residency (either a driver's licence or rates notice) to our team members at the check-in point on the day.

How much can I drop off?

You will be able to drop off either one car boot, station wagon, ute, small van or a 6‘x4’ level trailer load of garden waste. 

Additional garden waste will be accepted at a charge (refer to the table below). Payment must be made via EFT only on the day.

What items can and cannot be dropped off?

Yes, we accept:

✔ Branches
✔ Tree prunings
✔ Logs (maximum 250mm diameter)
✔ Large garden cuttings

No, we don't accept:

✖ Soil
✖ Grass clippings
✖ Building material, bricks, steel or concrete
✖ Plastic bags
✖ Ivy, rose bushes or thorny material
✖ Bamboo leaves and stems
✖ Palm trees or branches
✖ Fence palings

How do I book?

Book online and select the 30 minute timeslot on the day you would like to attend. Only one drop off is available per household for each of the November and December events.
