As part of the Neighbourhood Park Development Program 2015/16, Manningham Council is planning to upgrade Spring Valley Reserve in Templestowe and is seeking comments from the local community on improvements they would like to see at this local park.

Spring Valley Reserve currently provides a range of opportunities to socialise, have fun and get active with a basketball ring, concrete cricket pitch, picnic tables and play equipment.

Some of the proposals for the reserve include a new playground suitable for a wide range of ages, a new basketball ring tower and play area, extending the existing concrete cricket pitch and installing permanent cricket stumps.

The proposed upgrade also includes improving drainage and pathways, new park signs additional seating, two new picnic tables and extra tree planting within the reserve.

Manningham Mayor Cr Paul McLeish said the reserve is a great local park and the improvements will give local residents even more opportunities to get active outdoors.

“I encourage our community get involved and tell us what they would like to see as part of Spring Valley Reserve and help us plan for the upgrade.”

The consultation closes on Friday 9 October.

The development plan for the Spring Valley Reserve will be finalised by the end of October. The upgrade is expected to commence in mid November and will be completed by the end of this year.
