Recognised as one of Victoria’s healthiest municipalities, Council is seeking expressions of interest from organisations and community leaders to join Manningham’s Healthy City Working Groups.

Council is establishing three working groups with a broad spectrum of stakeholders with a passion for Health and Wellbeing. These working groups are:

  • Gender Equity.
  • Youth Mental Wellbeing and Resilience.
  • Community Connectedness.

The working groups will support Council to develop, deliver and evaluate initiatives in these areas. As part of the working group, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying evidence based initiatives for Manningham.
  • Providing input into the planning, implementation and evaluation of initiatives.
  • Helping Council promote and support its Icon for application/pdf Healthy City Strategy 2017 - 2021 (3.31 MB) across the community.

Nominations are sought from people who live, work or study in Manningham, have an understanding of Council’s role in health and wellbeing and are interested in the ongoing development of health and wellbeing within the municipality.

There are a total of 13 positions available in each working group with a maximum of three individual representatives (community members) and ten organisational representatives from the community. Council aims to achieve diverse representation of the community, including age, gender, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and from different geographic areas of Manningham.
