Message from our Mayor

Autumn is such a lovely time of the year here in Manningham as we have so many beautiful green spaces to enjoy, such as the area along the Yarra River at Bulleen. This is one of the treasures of our city, home to sporting clubs and reserves, walking and cycling trails and a beautiful natural environment.

At the March Council meeting, we outlined our submission to the Victorian Government’s draft Bulleen Precinct Land use Framework Plan and proposed planning scheme amendment aimed at redeveloping part of the Yarra Valley Country Club in Bulleen.

We generally support the framework, however we recommended that the State Government not proceed with this current version of the proposed amendment to redevelop part of the Yarra Valley Country Club for residential purposes.

Tell us about your Pop-Up Park experience

Over the past few months we’ve set up temporary pop-up parks Tunstall Square, Jackson Court, Macedon Square and Templestowe Village. With these temporary spaces now coming to an end, we want to hear from you to help us plan for what’s next.

During this time we’ve also supported many local businesses to expand their outdoor dining and want to hear about your experience with these spaces.

Live Chat – responding faster to your queries

We are always looking at ways we can make it easier for our customers to interact and resolve their queries with us, and so we have introduced a new Chat feature on our website to help make your experience with us even easier.

All abilities soccer sessions available

Team sports can play a valuable role in a child's development. They help keep children active, promote agility and fitness and they also help build friendships with other children their own age.

However, such opportunities are not always available for all children, especially those with developmental, physical or learning limitations. Macedon Blues Soccer Club is helping to change this.
