I hope this edition of Manningham Matters finds you safe and well as we all head into the busy festive season.
This is a wonderful time for us to connect with family and friends who we may not have seen much during this unusual year. I hope you take the chance to venture out and about in Manningham to support our local cafes, restaurants and businesses as you do your Christmas shopping.
It’s been an inspiration to see our community come together this year to support each other. It’s been wonderful to see so many new initiatives and ideas this year and we hope this innovative community spirit can continue to inspire us all into 2021.
There’s plenty of things to enjoy locally this summer, including at Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre. Read our story to find out more about what school holiday programs they are running in January.
Thursday 24 December, Christmas Eve: Civic Centre and Contact Centre will close at 1.00pm
Friday 25 December, Christmas Day: Closed
Monday 28 December, Boxing Day Public Holiday: Closed
Friday 1 January, New Year’s Day: Closed
All other days throughout the festive season our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
We are currently experiencing higher than normal call volumes, and we want to reassure you we’re working as hard as we can to answer all calls and we apologise for any delay you have in speaking with us.

After the wonderful success of their teddy-bear hunt window and rainbow, the children and educators from Early Years at MC Square have hand-made a ‘Spoonville’ village called the MCSquareville. Visit it today outside MC Square in Doncaster East.
Our upcoming Council meeting on Thursday 28 January 2021, 7.00pm will be broadcast virtually. You will be able to watch the meeting live on our Facebook page – although you don’t need a Facebook account to see it. We encourage questions for Council to be provided via email and received by 5.00pm on the Monday before the meeting.
