5. Main Yarra Trail
“Wonderful and varied ecosystems”
Popular with walkers, runners and cyclists, this scenic riverside path passes through Westerfolds Park on its way from the Eastern suburbs to the CBD.
The section of the trail within Westerfolds Park takes in the woodlands and old Westerfolds Manor.
There are lots of spots along the Yarra River trail to take in the views of the river and rapids.

4. Finns Reserve
"Something for everyone"
There's something for everyone at this little bend in the Yarra River in Templestowe.
This trail takes in the best of the Yarra River and local bushland. We have even heard that you can be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a platypus in the Yarra from this trail.
Take along your fury friend for an enjoyable stroll, or let the kids play at the great playground wombat bend (also voted a top 5 playspace).
With easy parking and close to public transport, Finns Reserve is a simply a great place to visit. .

3. Westerfolds Park
“Natural bush setting, large area and has kangaroos!”
Westerfolds Park Trail runs alongside the Yarra River in Templestowe.
This peaceful walk passes the old Westerfolds Manor, woodlands and shrub land.
Take in the ancient Red Gums, as well as kangaroos and wombats who often graze in the open areas in the morning.
Enjoy the surrounds and have a bite to eat at the picnic areas.
The park is a great family trip with the playground and facilities onsite.

2. Mullum Mullum Trail
"Peaceful and serene"
The Mullum Mullum Trail was a strong contender for our favourite walking trail.
A serene and peaceful walk, where you can enjoy splendid landscape and local wildlife polled strongly.
As you stroll through bushland along the Mullum Mullum Creek will be sure to spot a wealth of native birdlife.
The long awaited completion of the trail later this year, will connect the Koonung and Main Yarra Trail to create a 42km circuit.

Your number one trail can be found in our number one park, Ruffey Lake!
Ruffey has something for everyone with rolling hills, views and varied landscapes, it’s easy to see why it’s a favourite.
The park is family friendly with three great playgrounds to enjoy with the kids at the end of a walk.
You can also let your fury friend run and explore with lots of chances for off the leash play.
