The Mullum Mullum Trail is the major attraction of the Mullum Mullum Creek Linear Park which is an 18.5 kilometre nature lover's trail from the Yarra River in Templestowe to the EastLink Trail in Donvale. The Trail will particularly appeal to cyclists and walkers who enjoy the natural flora of the Mullum Mullum Valley, together with bird watching, frog spotting in wetlands and even sighting the occasional koala.

The Trail opened to the public on 16 September 2018. Refer to map for trail facilities and distances along the Mullum Mullum Trail and connecting Koonung, EastLink and Main Yarra Trails.


  • Mullum Mullum Creek Linear Park - Nature watching including Tawny Frogmouth, cockatoos, Butcher Birds, koalas, platypus and wildflowers (especially in spring), picnic tables, playground and drinking water.

  • The Parkway barbecue & picnic area, Templestowe

  • Currawong Bush Park, Reynolds Road, East Doncaster - wildlife sanctuary, walking trails, Environment Centre, playground, barbecues, picnic tables, drinking water and toilets.

  • Manna Gum Playspace – Parking, playground and picnic shelter

  • Beasleys Teahouse (adjacent to Manna Gum Playspace)

  • Dellview Playspace

  • Larnoo Playspace


The Trail is sealed except for the following sections:

  • Tindals Road, Donvale - the first 200 metres heading south is gravel
  • Tikalara Park to Fitzsimons Reserve, Templestowe
