Manningham Council has endorsed the Community Engagement Framework, which will ensure a best practice approach for all of Council’s engagement activities.

Manningham Council Mayor Cr Jim Grivokostopoulos said Council is committed to consulting and engaging with the community as part of good governance and leadership.

“Community engagement is an important element of the democratic process. Council believes an empowered community is one that actively participates to influence decisions that affect their lives.”

The Community Engagement Framework will be the guiding policy document for all engagement activities focused at Manningham Council.

A Community Engagement Guide for staff was developed alongside the Framework. The guide will continue to build staff knowledge and capacity on best practice community engagement.
