On Friday 18 March Council will be standing up against bullying and violence and encouraging us all to #BeKind.

The theme for this year’s National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence is #KindnessCulture.

By building #KindnessCulture together, we can promote inclusion, respect and community belonging for all.

“Bullying, harassment, discrimination and violence are never ok” said Mayor Cr Michelle Kleinert.

“As an advocate and supporter of Bully Zero I would like to urge you all to join us on Friday 18 March 2022 for National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. A day where we all say no to bullying and yes to #BeKind”.

Research shows that over one quarter of all Australia Students between years 4 and 9 report being bullied every few weeks or more often during the last term at school.

The resources on Bullyingnoway and Bully Zero websites are designed to help parents, family and friends support each other and change behaviours.
