Manningham Council has put in place a number of additional storm clean-up measures to support residents impacted by yesterday’s severe storm.

Heavy rain, thunder, hail and flash flooding saw major damage occur to properties, vehicles and infrastructure across Manningham with Templestowe, Templestowe Lower and Warrandyte hardest hit.

Council deployed resources immediately to start the clean-up process and staff worked into the early hours of Monday morning responding to calls from our residents.

Council has now implemented a number of additional clean-up measures to assist the community in cleaning up green waste debris.

The immediate extra measures for Manningham residents impacted by the storm are:

  • Extended hours at the Garden Waste Centre this week for disposal of green waste debris free of charge (proof of residency required).
  • Three skip bins located in Warrandyte and Doncaster for residents to dispose of green waste created by the storm (proof of residency required).
  • An additional garden waste kerbside collection for residents who call Council before 5.00pm Friday 24 January to request this service.
