Are you a musical or theatre group looking to hire a venue for your show? Apply to be part of Doncaster Playhouse’s 2023 program.
Expressions of interest are now open to hire the Doncaster Playhouse in 2023.
The Doncaster Playhouse is suitable for a variety of contemporary performing arts, including theatre, music, dance, circus and comedy.
Who can apply?
Arts Manningham celebrates all sections of our community. We aim to be a safe and inclusive space and service.
We welcome and proactively support:
- First Nations Peoples
- multicultural and multi-faith communities
- people with disability
- all genders and sexualities
- people living in Manningham but also from regional and remote locations
- children, young people, and older people.
Priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate consideration and connection to the local Manningham area and/or community through their application.
Performers, artists and performing arts groups from across Victoria are eligible to apply. Manningham councillors and council staff are ineligible.
How much does it cost?
Hire fees for the Doncaster Playhouse to 30 June 2023 are based around an hourly rate of $97.10 (new hire rates will apply for EOIs for productions between 1 July 2023 to 2024).

What happens next?
Selected applicants will be contacted by Arts Manningham and, dependent upon availability, invited to book the Playhouse and present their production as part of our 2023 program.
Important dates
Applications open Tuesday 25 October 2022.
Applications close Sunday 4 December 2022.
