Council rates and charges are payable by either:
- Four instalments or
- Ten monthly instalments payable by direct debit only.
Direct Debit 2017/18 (51.59 KB) allows you to choose either the four instalments or ten monthly instalments.
The ten monthly instalments are debited from your nominated bank account on the 15th day of the month from September to June, inclusive.
The quarterly instalment due dates are set by legislation for all Victorian Councils and notices are issued at least 14 days before each instalment due date.
Residents paying their rates in four instalments who wish to use direct debit, your rates will be automatically debited from your bank account on the days shown on the annual notice.
Ratepayers not using the Direct Debit payment method are required to pay by the four instalment options on the following dates:
- 30 September 2017
- 30 November 2017
- 29 February 2018
- 31 May 2018
Where a due date falls on a weekend or public holiday the instalment will be due on the following business day.
Manningham does not offer a full payment option. If you wish to pay your rates in a single payment you must ensure that the respective four instalment due dates are satisfied to avoid penalty interest being charged.
Municipal Rates Concession
The Municipal Rates Concession provides a 50 per cent discount off council rates up to a yearly maximum of $223.80 in 2017-18. The concession is available to eligible property owners and must be for their principal place of residency.
You must hold at least one of the following concession cards:
- Pensioner Concession Card
- DVA Gold Card
To apply please complete the Municipal Rates Concession (123.65 KB) and return to Council with a copy of your eligible concession card.

Low Income Health Care Card Rate Reduction
If you have a current Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card showing ‘LI’ you may be eligible for a reduction of $61.20 on the current rates and charges for your principal place of residence.
To apply please complete the Low Income Health Care Card Rebate form (217.78 KB) and return to Council with a copy of your eligible card.
