Our purpose

Through innovation and technology, our Liveability, Innovation and Technology (LIT) Committee aims to:

  • improve liveability
  • public value.

By connecting people, places and assets.

 

Our role

Our LIT Committee is represented by a councillor and community members who meet the following criteria:

  • have an interest and knowledge in innovation and technology and how it applies to liveability
  • live or work in Manningham
  • can regularly attend and participate in meetings
  • has skills that compliments the committee.

 

Who are our members

If you meet the above criteria, you can nominate to be a community member on our LIT committee for a three year term.

We'll choose cross section of the community that best represents our diversity.
 

Unfortunately, we are currently not taking nominations. Follow our news channel and local media for when we advertise calls for nominations.

 

When do we meet?

LIT meets at least four times a year, on a quarterly basis.

 

What is the appointment process?

  1. We will advertise calls for nominations in local media and on our news channels.
     
  2. From the nominations received, we will select community members who best meet the selection criteria to join our committee for three years. Members can renominate to join the committee after their term ends.

Manningham Council is exploring innovative and agile ways to better respond to the social, economic, environmental pressures faced by our community such as population growth and ageing, climate change and the exponential growth in the digital economy. 

We’re seeking expressions of interest from those who live and work in Manningham to be part of new advisory committee. Share your experience and ideas on how innovation and technology can improve living and working in Manningham. The committee will work alongside Council to oversee the development of a Liveability Innovation and Technology Smart Cities Discussion Paper to inform future planning.

If you are interested in being part of the Livability Innovation and Technology Committee, please register your interest.

Expression of Interests close on Wednesday 7 August, 5.00pm

One of Australia’s most important national occasions, ANZAC Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day in which we remember all Australians who served and died in all wars and operational service past and present. Come along and mark the day at one of the RSL services in Manningham.

The Doncaster RSL will hold a Dawn Service followed by a Gunfire Breakfast.
