Older adults in Manningham are invited to join this supported public transport experience to East Melbourne for a lunch and garden outing.
Let us support you to travel to Bulleen Park and Ride bus depot, and then via public transport to Sir Osborn Cafe and Parliament Gardens.
How does it work?
Attendees will be picked up from their homes by EV community transport. They will be dropped off at Bulleen Park and Ride where they will take public transport to the Sir Osborn Cafe and Parliament Gardens.
After lunch, attendees will then take public transport back to Bulleen Park and Ride, where they will be picked up by EV community transport and dropped home.

The Seniors Club Support Grant is a category of the Community Grant Program. The grant allows seniors clubs to achieve short to medium term community development outcomes.
The aim of the grant is to:

The estimated allocation for the Seniors Club Support Grant category is $70,000 per annum.

The Seniors Club Support Grants are designed to support initiatives that benefit and empower older people in Manningham.
These grants provide up to $8,000 in funding and can be used for a wide range of activities, including digital literacy programs, creative writing classes, or exercise sessions.

Let's Crochet Together offers senior residents of Manningham an enjoyable and practical crochet session, with a special focus on those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
Participants will not only acquire basic crochet skills, but also have the opportunity to build new community connections.

Formerly called a disabled parking permit, an Accessible Parking Permit (APP) is for drivers or passengers with a disability. It's also for organisations helping transport people with disabilities.
The Victorian Government introduced the Accessible Parking Permit Scheme to help make a simpler and more consistent process.
All councils across the state will use the same application process. This aligns with the Australian Disability Parking Permit Scheme.
temporary permits will be available for six, 12 or 24 month periods
permanent permits will be valid for five years rather than three years
the introduction of a permanent disability classification, so functional assessments aren’t required for future permit renewals
a single and secure state wide permit design that will reduce permit misuse

The MannaCare Memory Place Cafe has been established to provide an opportunity for people with a dementia diagnosis and their carers to connect with others who are travelling a similar road.
The cafe provides a relaxed, safe and supportive environment for people with a dementia diagnosis and their carers to enjoy time together.
Memory Place Cafe is open on the second Thursday of every month.
