We’re pleased to announce the reappointment of Andrew Day as the Chief Executive Officer of Manningham Council for a further five years.

Mr Day joined us in September 2018, following an extensive recruitment process. Manningham Mayor, Cr Deirdre Diamante, said,

"Andrew is an exceptional leader. He has consistently delivered on the strategic priorities of Council. He is present in the Manningham community, listens to our residents, and is focused on improving service delivery in a financially responsible way. The Councillors and I are delighted to reappoint him for a further five year term".

Mr Day said he was thrilled Councillors had given him the opportunity to continue serving the Manningham community.

"It’s a privilege to lead an organisation of professional people who take pride in serving the community.

“There is always more to do and improvements to be made. I look forward to working with Councillors, the Manningham team and our engaged community on the exciting programs and projects planned over the next five years.”

During his time here at Manningham, Mr Day has led the organisation through the global pandemic, council elections and a change in ward structure, as well as several major emergency events.

Highlights of his tenure include overseeing many new and upgraded sporting and community infrastructure projects, kilometres of new and improved roads, drains and footpaths, the improvement and maintenance of our beautiful open spaces and responding to climate change.

Under Mr Day, we continue to deliver a wide range of services to support the community and ensure Manningham remains one of the most vibrant, inclusive and safe municipalities in Victoria.

Council unanimously resolved the reappointment at the March Council meeting following a recommendation by the CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee, in line with the requirements of the Local Government Act 2020.

The Council Report is available on the March Council Meeting page.
