Doncare is seeking donations of food and household items so it can keep maintaining the health and wellbeing of people experiencing hardship at this difficult time.

As many vulnerable families and members of the community continue to be impacted financially, socially and emotionally by situations arising from COVID–19, Doncare has been working to ensure continuity of service while taking all the necessary precautions to keep people safe and healthy.

On average, Doncare feeds over 3,000 individuals a year, however since February it has seen a 200% increase in the numbers of people approaching its Emergency Relief Program for essential food items. This has coincided with many of its suppliers and major donors downsizing their own operations, which has put more pressure on their supplies and food available to distribute.

There are now more ways you can donate.

Warrandyte locals can now donate non-perishable items to Doncare's food pantry by visiting the contactless drive-thru drop zone at Bramleigh Estate. Donations will be gratefully accepted throughout May seven days a week from 7.00am to 7.00pm at 420 Ringwood-Warrandyte Road in Warrandyte South.

Donations can also be delivered to Doncare's main office at 687 Doncaster Road in Doncaster. Whilst the MC Square building is closed due to COVID-19, staff will gladly meet you downstairs to collect donations.

If you require emergency relief or assistance with food parcels and food vouchers, please call Doncare on 9856 1500. Visit the Doncare website for more information.
