Manningham Council will be installing a series of nature inspired sculptures and play opportunities within Currawong Bush Park, Doncaster East, during April 2016.

An action of the Mullum Mullum Creek Linear Park Management Plan 2011, the new sculptures and children’s play features will be installed at various locations along the trails within the park.

The sculptures have been designed by two different artists and are being produced using techniques of chainsaw carving and weaving.

The children’s nature play elements, such as balancing logs and rocks, will be installed, along with new planting along the trails.

The project aims to provide additional points of interest that complement the natural environment and existing trails and picnic area of Currawong Bush Park.

Works to install the new sculptures are expected to be completed by the end of May 2016.
