Community Hub for those affected by power outages

A community hub has been set up to assist our community affected by power outages following the recent severe weather.

Wednesday 16 June, 2021 and Thursday 17 June, 2021
11.00am to 3.00pm
Colman Reserve Pavilion
Colman Park, Croydon Road, Warrandyte South

Community members who have been affected by power outages can visit the hub to:

  • Charge devices
  • Stay warm 
  • Access shower facilities

This community hub will operate under a COVID-safe plan and anyone attending must follow COVID-safe restrictions.

Residents can monitor weather warnings by downloading the Vic Emergency app on the App Store or Google Play. If you need to leave your home, check for road closures before travelling by visiting the VicRoads Traffic website.

You can call the SES on 132 500 if you are seeking assistance for any emergency during a flood or storm when, for example:

  • A tree has fallen and caused structural damage to your home or vehicle.
  • There is damage to your roof or it is leaking significantly.
  • A tree or large branch has fallen and is preventing you from entering or leaving your home.
  • Your property is flooded or about to flood.

COVID-19 Information

If you are you currently isolating because you have COVID-19 or you have been told you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, but your home becomes unsafe, you may leave.

You should follow the advice of emergency services and travel to a safe place away from the emergency area where you can continue to isolate.

If you do not have anywhere to go, find a safe place away from the emergency.
