We're undertaking tree works on the Ruffey Linear Trail between Templestowe and RLP Boulevard. We expect it to take two to three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

We are undertaking tree works on the Ruffey Linear Trail between Templestowe, and the Boulevarde Playground at Ruffey Lake Park. The works start today and are expected to take two to three weeks, weather permitting.

The tree works are necessary to ensure tree longevity and ensure the safety of trail users. As part of the works, we will need to remove several invasive weeds and small to medium trees that have either died or are structurally damaged from storm damage.

We carefully manage our works to avoid disruption; however, you may notice some noise during working hours and when crews pass by properties.
Access to the trail will be restricted in some areas, but there will be no closures. Traffic control will be in place to help pedestrians and bike traffic.

Safety is our priority, and we ask for your assistance by following all instructions and signage. We also suggest that trail users and residents please allow extra time in their commutes during the works.

We want to continue to maintain a safe pathway for pedestrians and cyclists in our community and will review the path every three years as part of our Proactive Tree Inspection Program.

Replanting will be done between April and September to ensure the best chance of establishment and long-term viability.

We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout these works.
