Manningham Council is pleased to announce that following an EOI/Tender process a new committee has been appointed to formally operate the Warrandyte Market for the next three years.

The successful bid, made up of representatives from the Warrandyte Donvale Rotary Club, Warrandyte Lions Club, North Warrandyte CFA, Warrandyte Community Church and the Warrandyte Community Association, was appointed by Council following a formal tender process and will officially operate the market from April 2016.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Chris Potter said he welcomes the new committee and looks forward to them re-invigorating the operation of this popular community market.

“This is a great step forward for the Warrandyte Market. We look forward to working with the new committee to deliver a quality community market with local produce and handmade crafts,” he said.

The appointment of the new committee also follows the introduction of the new market layout in November 2015 in response to environmental works at the Warrandyte River Reserve.

The Warrandyte Community Market is held in the Warrandyte River Reserve on the first Saturday of each month (excluding January), with a second market held on the third Saturday in December each year.
