Power is down across many parts of the municipality – you can keep track of this via:

Some Council services have been disrupted including:

Our phone lines and LiveChat are back up and running. Please note, due to the high volume of calls you may experience some wait time.

Waste collection
There are delays to our kerbside collection due to fallen trees and strong winds that have knocked bins over.

Your bin may not be collected today. Please leave your bin out until it is emptied, we will also be working on Saturday 30 October. We seek your assistance in placing bins upright if they have been knocked over and pick up any loose rubbish.

You can report a missed bin online.

You can call the SES on 132 500 if you are seeking assistance for any emergency during a storm when, for example:

  • A tree has fallen and caused structural damage to your home or vehicle
  • There is damage to your roof
  • A tree or large branch has fallen and is preventing you from entering or leaving your home

For more information on preparing for a storm visit the SES website.

If someone’s life is in danger call Triple Zero 000.
