Children aged five years and up are invited to dance the morning away at Plaza Park, Manningham City Square between 10.00 am and

1.00 pm on Saturday 7 November.

‘Out There – The Australian Ballet in Schools bought to you by Samsung’ program is a very special dance event that includes a range of free guided workshops and activities.

Movement workshops

Join dancers from The Australian Ballet as they guide you through dances and exercises that encourage individual and co-operative creative learning. Free workshops are available at 10.00 am for children aged five to eight years, and 10.45 am for children over eight years of age. Bookings are essential for movement workshops. ‘Talking Doing Dancers’ Presentation

See The Australian Ballet dancers in action, enjoy beautiful costumes from their extensive collection, and expand your knowledge in a range of different dance forms. Presentation from 12 noon, no bookings required. 

Ballet Arts Play
Enjoy free face painting inspired by the ballet and theatrical arts, create your own dance costumes, including tutus, tiaras, crowns, dragon tails and fox ears, and help build and decorate an amazing ballet stage set.
Free arts play from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm, no bookings required. 

The Australian Ballet will also be taking this special dance program to Manningham based schools over the coming weeks to share their love of dance with students from Warrandyte, Milgate, Donvale, Donburn and St Kevin’s primary schools.

The Plaza Park Project is a joint initiative between Manningham Council and VicHealth that aims to provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get active, meet others and have fun. The Australian Ballet is a partner through the VicHealth initiative.
