Have you always wanted to paint, but unsure how to begin? Our skilled tutor Rossella Picciani will show you how in this series of four online sessions.
You will learn about the different types of acrylic paint and mediums (paint additives designed to give you a range of specific results). You’ll experiment with different brushes and pallet knives and other techniques - did you know that you can paint on many types of surfaces if you don’t want to paint on canvas?

Session 1: Tuesday 2 March, 10.00am to 11.30am
Session 2: Tuesday 9 March, 10.00am to 11.30am
Session 3: Tuesday 16 March, 10.00am to 11.30am
Session 4: Tuesday 23 March, 10.00am to 11.30am
Materials required
Course sessions will be run over video conferencing software Zoom, available as an application or accessible via some web browsers.
- Two cheap canvases, approximately 30cm x 30cm, to get started
- A cheap packet of assorted nylon brushes e.g. a flat brush #8, #20 and a #12 round (these numbers are just a guide)
- If you have a large range of acrylic paints bring them along, otherwise just bring a blue (ultramarine, pthalo, or any dark blue) and a titanium white
