As part of the Manningham Art Gallery exhibition Empty Streets and Stacked Chairs, Bill McAuley will be running a one-off smart phone portraiture photography workshop for teens.
Teens interested in photography, or the people and their stories around around us, should come and bring their curiosity, creativity and their smart phone. With a focus on how we see the world through the camera lens, in this three-hour workshop, teenagers will learn how to create great images that tell great stories.
Over his career, Bill McAuley has had the privilege to meet and photograph some of the worlds' most famous and interesting people from the world of showbusiness, music and politics. During the workshop Bill will share with you the background to some of his portraits, recount interesting and funny stories that came out of rubbing shoulders with some of the world's most famous. He will then discuss technique using a life model to create your very own portraits.
