The Fire Danger Period has now been declared for Manningham, from Monday 8 February to Saturday 1 May 2021.

The CFA declares the Fire Danger Period for each council area at different times in the lead up to the fire season. In considering when to declare the Fire Danger Period, the CFA considers the environmental conditions of each district.

During this period it’s important to:

  • be alert and aware of the fire danger ratings
  • make sure your emergency plans are up to date
  • ensure your property is clean and clear of excess debris.

Burning off is not permitted during the Fire Danger Period. Council will not be issuing permits for burning off during this time or at any other times when localised conditions present a significant risk.

Find out what this means for you and what else you can and can’t do during the Fire Danger Period on the CFA website.

To assist with the disposal of green waste in the Bushfire Prone Area during this period, additional drop-off days have been organised to support residents. Find out more about these Garden Waste disposal days.
