Doncaster Playhouse is now closed

The Doncaster Playhouse will remain closed over the coming months while we undertake a refurbishment of the building.

In 2021 we will be accepting expressions of interest for performances at the Playhouse in the second half of 2021 and 2022.

Please check this webpage and the Arts Manningham Facebook page for updates.

Please visit the Department of Health and Human Services for the most up to date information on COVID-19.

We thank our artists and community for their ongoing support through 2020 and on into the new year.

About the Doncaster Playhouse

At Doncaster Playhouse, you can enjoy one of our many concerts or theatre shows.

Built in 1863, Doncaster Playhouse was the first primary school in the area and was refurbished in 1988 as a contemporary theatre. It is home to a number of community theatre companies.

Getting there

You can visit our Playhouse via public transport – there are bus stops located within 100 metres of the venue. Parking is also available at MC Square, a short walk away (see map below).
